This year’s recipient is a freelance reporter. She has
been reporting for 28 years, since graduating from the
Minnesota School of Business in 1980. She owns her own
freelance firm. She has served as the President of NeCRA
from 2002 to 2003 and she was our Scribe editor from March
of 2005 to September of 2007. This year’s recipient is an
RMR and a CRR. She not only serves our State association,
but she serves our National association as well, as a member
of the Freelance Community of Interest Committee. She has
written at least one article of interest to freelance
reporters that may be found on NCRA’s website.

Pam will be married 24 years this year to John Weyant. She
enjoys movies, reading, cooking, wallpapering, loves the
Minnesota Vikings and has a cocker spaniel named Jake.
Pam, thanks for everything you do for our association and
for our profession. It is my privilege to present the 2008
Dale Theis Distinguished Service Award to Pam Weyant.
